Empowering Future Leaders of Tomorrow Through Innovative Education Today

Inman Elementary families “got moving” recently as 37 families (150 individuals) participated in Family Fitness Night. IES has traditionally held Family Reading Night, Family Math Night and other activities targeted at family interaction, but this was the first fitness-focused activity. Concern about the sedentary lifestyle that many of America’s young people lead has become a frequent topic on television and radio talk shows, in newspapers and magazines, and in water cooler conversations – including discussions among faculty and staff at IES.
Over 175 students from schools across the Heart of America League gathered at Inman High School May 5 to compete in the third annual HOA Industrial Arts Contest.
From simple tables and stools to elaborate headboards, gun cases and clocks, projects on display in the IHS black gym showed off the skills and knowledge gained by students enrolled in the league’s industrial arts classes.
Scuba diving, karate, tea parties, gruesome grub, all night games, Native Americans, book publishing, show choir, tennis and soccer may seem like unrelated activities, but they do have one thing in common. They were just some of the classes held during Inman Elementary School’s recent afterschool FLASH classes.

As an encouragement to our teachers and help to our local schools the Inman Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring a "Stuff the Buss" with classroom supplies for our local schools. Please show your support by purchasing items of need for the classroom and dropping them off at the "Bus Depot".

How many Expo markers, note cards, pencils, reams of paper and glue sticks does it take to stuff a bus? Members of the Inman Ministerial Alliance (IMA) decided to find out last spring, challenging their congregations and other community members to fill a USD 448 mini bus with school supplies this summer. The resulting outpouring of supplies was beyond what any of the planners had imagined.
